Apps often lose time in review over a missing screencast, unclear test steps or listing copy that breaks Shopify's rules. We prepare everything reviewers and merchants need, written to Shopify's listing requirements and checked by a person.

Everything your listing needs.

We prepare every part of the listing and the review package, so merchants understand your app quickly and reviewers can test it.

Listing copy

App name, introduction, details and feature list written in plain English, following Shopify's rules on claims, keywords and formatting.

Search term research

AI helps us gather the words merchants search for, and a person chooses the search terms, category and tags that fit your app.

Screenshots and media

Desktop screenshots that show your app's real interface and value, plus a short feature video or image for the top of the listing.

Demo store

A development store with realistic products and your app installed, so merchants can see it working on a live storefront.

Review screencast

A recorded walkthrough of install, setup and each main feature, with test instructions written for Shopify's review team.

Launch outreach

Launch emails, posts and an install offer for your audience, timed for when the app goes live.

Done properly.

The details that decide whether listing and launch pays off.

Listings written for busy merchants.

Merchants scan a listing quickly, so we lead with the problem your app solves and show the result in the first screenshot. Every claim is checked against Shopify's listing guidelines, which restrict statistics and unsupported claims.

AI keyword note

Example

Merchants searching for bundles often also search for upsells and volume discounts. We suggest bundles as the main term, with volume discounts covered in the feature list. A person should confirm the final terms.

Checked by a person before it goes out

After launch, the work continues.

Early installs show where merchants drop off. We review setup completion, uninstall reasons and new reviews, then update the listing, onboarding and screenshots in small, tested steps.

Example project

A new bundles app preparing for its launch

The app is built and tested, but there is no listing, no demo store and no screencast. The developer wants to submit soon and have merchants ready to install on day one.

What we would do

  • Research search terms merchants use for bundles
  • Write listing copy and design screenshots
  • Build a demo store and record the screencast
  • Plan launch emails and an early install offer

An illustration of how we would approach it, not a client result.

What you would get

  • A complete App Store listing
  • Demo store and review screencast
  • Submission and reviewer responses
  • Launch emails ready to send

Questions, answered.

How long does Shopify's app review take?

It varies with Shopify's queue and how complete the submission is. A clear screencast and test instructions help avoid back and forth with reviewers. We agree a target date with you before we start.

What does Shopify look for in a listing?

Clear, accurate copy that describes what the app does, screenshots of the real interface and correct pricing details. Shopify's guidelines also limit claims, statistics and certain keywords, so we check every line.

Can you improve the listing of an app that is already live?

Yes. We review your listing, search terms, reviews and install data, then suggest changes in order of likely impact. Ongoing listing work is covered by a fixed monthly fee.

How much does listing and launch support cost?

Listing and launch work is quoted after a short call, with a fixed price agreed before we start. It is included when we build your full app.
