HomeServicesAppsSubscriptions and paywalls

Paid plans built into your app.

We set up subscriptions, free trials and one-off purchases through the App Store and Google Play, managed with RevenueCat and presented on paywalls that follow store rules.

  • Trials and offers
  • Clear, compliant paywalls
  • One view of revenue

Store billing is easy to get wrong, and mistakes mean lost renewals, failed restores and rejected app updates. We build purchases on RevenueCat, test every case in sandbox and design paywalls that meet store rules.

The full billing setup.

We handle the products, the code, the paywall and the testing, so purchases behave the same on every device.

Products and plans

We set up subscription groups, prices and trial periods in App Store Connect and Google Play Console, matched across both stores.

RevenueCat integration

RevenueCat handles receipts, entitlements and renewals on both platforms, so your app always knows what each user has paid for.

Paywall design

Clear paywalls that show price, billing period and trial terms plainly, with restore purchases and links to your terms and privacy policy.

Offers and trials

Free trials, introductory prices, offer codes and win-back offers, set up through each store's own offer tools.

Server notifications

App Store Server Notifications and Google's real-time developer notifications keep your backend in step with renewals, refunds and cancellations.

Sandbox testing

We test purchases, renewals, upgrades, refunds and restores in Apple's sandbox and with Google Play test accounts before anything goes live.

Done properly.

The details that decide whether subscriptions and paywalls pays off.

Paywalls tested, then improved.

RevenueCat Experiments let us compare paywall designs, prices or trial lengths with real users. AI helps us draft paywall copy variants quickly, and a person checks every word against store rules before it ships.

Working within store payment rules.

Digital content must normally be sold through Apple and Google billing, while physical goods and services can use Stripe or Apple Pay. We check what applies to your app, including newer options for linking to a web checkout in some regions.

Example project

A fitness coach moving members onto an app subscription

The coach sells workout plans through a website and wants members to subscribe inside the app instead, with a free trial, monthly and annual options, and access that follows them across iPhone and Android.

What we would do

  • Define monthly and annual plans with a trial
  • Set up products in both stores and RevenueCat
  • Design a clear paywall after onboarding
  • Test renewals, cancellations and restores in sandbox

An illustration of how we would approach it, not a client result.

What you would get

  • Subscriptions live on both stores
  • A compliant, tested paywall
  • RevenueCat dashboard and webhooks
  • Notes on offers to try next

Questions, answered.

Why use RevenueCat instead of building billing ourselves?

RevenueCat handles receipts, renewals and entitlements for both stores in one place, which saves a lot of fragile code. It also gives you a revenue dashboard and paywall experiments. It has its own fees, which we explain upfront.

Can I take payments with Stripe instead?

For physical goods and services, yes. For digital content and features, Apple and Google normally require their own billing, with some regional exceptions for linking to a web checkout. We check which rules apply to your app.

Do subscriptions work across iPhone and Android?

Yes, when users sign in to an account. RevenueCat links purchases to that account, so someone who subscribes on iPhone keeps access when they sign in on Android.

How much does subscription setup cost?

Subscription and paywall work is quoted after a short call, with a fixed price agreed before we start. Ongoing paywall testing and improvements are covered by a fixed monthly fee.
