Printed pieces often try to say everything at once, so the main message gets lost in small text. We decide what matters most, give it room and set up the file so it prints sharply.

Every printed format.

From a single A5 flyer to a multi-page brochure, each piece is laid out for how people will read it.

Flyers and leaflets

Single and double-sided flyers, plus folded leaflets in bi-fold, tri-fold and Z-fold layouts.

Posters and banners

Window posters, event posters and roller banners, designed to be read from across the room.

Brochures and catalogues

Multi-page brochures and product catalogues laid out in InDesign, with page counts planned in multiples of four for saddle stitching.

Menus

Restaurant, café and takeaway menus with clear sections, allergen notes and layouts that make price changes simple.

Copy and structure

We can edit or write the words, so the headline, key details and call to action read in the right order.

Print-ready files

CMYK files with bleed, crop marks, embedded fonts and images at print resolution, exported as PDF/X.

Done properly.

The details that decide whether print design pays off.

Sizes and folds that suit the job.

We help you choose the format, fold and paper for how the piece will be used, whether it is handed out at an event, posted through doors or pinned to a wall.

Read in the right order.

People glance at a flyer before deciding whether to keep it. We set a clear hierarchy, so the offer, the reason to act and how to get in touch stand out first.

Example project

A dental practice that needs a new patient leaflet

The practice hands out an old leaflet with dense text and outdated treatment details. It wants a clear tri-fold leaflet for reception and a matching poster for the waiting room.

What we would do

  • Rewrite the copy into short, clear sections
  • Design a tri-fold leaflet and an A3 poster
  • Set up files with bleed and crop marks
  • Check the printer proof with the practice

An illustration of how we would approach it, not a client result.

What you would get

  • Tri-fold leaflet artwork
  • A matching A3 poster
  • Print-ready PDF files
  • Editable source files

Questions, answered.

What is bleed and why does my file need it?

Bleed is extra artwork that runs past the trim line, usually 3mm on each edge. It stops thin white slivers appearing when the sheets are cut. We add bleed and crop marks to every print file.

Should we choose silk, gloss or uncoated paper?

Silk suits most flyers and brochures, with a smooth feel and sharp images. Gloss makes photos look vivid but can reflect light. Uncoated feels natural and is easy to write on, so it suits forms and letterheads.

Can you write the copy as well?

Yes. We can edit your existing words or write new copy from a short brief. We keep sentences short and put the most important details first.

How much does print design cost?

Print design is quoted after a short call, with a fixed price agreed before we start. Print costs depend on quantity, stock and finish, and we quote them with the design.

Tell us what you need. Charlie will come back with a plan and a price, usually within one working day.
