Made for shelf and doorstep.

We design boxes, sleeves, mailers and labels to your supplier's dieline, with room for barcodes and legal text. You see realistic mock-ups and check proofs before anything is printed.

Labels are often designed before anyone checks the dieline, the barcode size or the legal text, so the artwork needs reworking late. We start from your supplier's specification and plan every panel, so each element has the right space from the start.

Every panel planned.

From the front of the pack to the base of the jar, we plan what goes where before the design starts.

Product labels

Labels for jars, bottles, tins and pouches, sized to the container and to your label supplier's roll or sheet layout.

Boxes and sleeves

Folding cartons, sleeves and rigid boxes designed panel by panel to the manufacturer's dieline.

Mailer boxes

Printed mailers for online orders, with an inside print that greets the customer when they open it.

Barcodes and legal text

Space planned for barcodes, batch codes, ingredients, warnings and recycling marks, at sizes that stay legible.

Range systems

A layout that flexes across flavours, scents or sizes, using colour and type to tell each product apart.

Print-ready artwork

Files in CMYK or Pantone with bleed, a dieline layer and separate layers for foil, white ink or varnish.

Done properly.

The details that decide whether packaging and labels pays off.

One look across the whole range.

When a range grows, each new product should fit in without starting again. We build a label system with fixed and flexible areas, so new flavours or sizes follow the same rules.

Checked against the dieline.

Before artwork goes to your supplier, we check every panel against the dieline and preview it as a 3D mock-up. You can see how text wraps around a jar or folds across a box before you approve it.

Example project

A hot sauce maker launching new flavours

A small hot sauce maker sells at markets and through its own online shop. It is adding new flavours and wants labels that look like one range, with clear allergen and legal information.

What we would do

  • Get bottle sizes and the label supplier's specification
  • Design a label system with a colour per flavour
  • Plan space for ingredients, allergens and barcodes
  • Check proofs with the maker before printing

An illustration of how we would approach it, not a client result.

What you would get

  • Label artwork for each flavour
  • A template for future flavours
  • 3D bottle mock-ups
  • Print-ready files for the supplier

Questions, answered.

Do I need a dieline before we start?

It helps. Your packaging or label supplier usually provides one for each box or label size. If you do not have a supplier yet, we can arrange printing for you and request the dieline ourselves.

Can you design labels for clear or metallic materials?

Yes. Clear and metallic labels need a white ink layer behind any area that should look solid. We set up that layer in the artwork and check it on the proof.

Who checks the legal wording?

We plan space for the required text and place it clearly. Labelling rules vary by product, so we recommend checking the final wording with Trading Standards or a compliance adviser before print.

How much do packaging and labels cost?

Design is quoted after a short call, with a fixed price agreed before we start. Print costs depend on quantity, stock and finish, and we quote them with the design.

Let's plan your next label.

Tell us what you need. Charlie will come back with a plan and a price, usually within one working day.
